Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

About the role

TensorWave is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and validation of high-power electrical distribution systems for its AI-focused data centers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, high-density power delivery that meets strict safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate designs of medium-voltage switchgear, UPS, paralleling switchgear, and generator plants.
• Model and design electrical infrastructure for next-generation AI hardware, emphasizing rack-level power density and fault tolerance.
• Perform power quality, short-circuit, and arc-flash analyses using tools such as SKM and ETAP.
• Provide expertise during construction, commissioning (Level 4/5 testing), and operation to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE, and corporate safety standards.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience designing, constructing, and commissioning mission-critical electrical systems.
• Deep knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a plus.
