Avionics Technician – Las Vegas

About the role

West Star is seeking a full‑time Avionics Technician to join its Las Vegas maintenance team. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, repair and verification of aircraft avionics systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support, including removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair navigation, communication, radar, audio and autopilot systems at the component level.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and avionics components as directed.
• Verify system performance after maintenance and during aircraft movement.
• Maintain shop equipment, tools and tooling to support operations.
• Collaborate with customers on project management, pricing and support.
• Work independently on assigned projects and adhere to deadlines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics or avionics training preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in avionics repair or installation.
• Valid driver’s license (airline travel approved) or passport preferred.
• Self‑motivated team player able to work under tight deadlines, overtime and weekends.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Required skills

• Avionics troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of navigation, communication, radar, audio and autopilot systems.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic manuals and maintenance databases.
• Effective written and spoken English communication.
