EHV Transmission Line Engineering Consultant (Senior)

About the role

This position leads engineering teams in the execution of extra‑high‑voltage (EHV) transmission line projects for utilities, cooperatives and developers. As a subject‑matter specialist you will provide expert support on 500 kV and 765 kV line designs and manage the full project life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop design deliverables for 500 kV and 765 kV transmission lines.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all codes and client specifications.
• Perform independent reviews of calculations and drawings, and prepare clear project reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain positive client relationships.

Required profile

• BS in an ABET‑accredited engineering program (or management/business degree) with 10+ years of utility transmission project management experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on design experience for 500 kV and/or 765 kV transmission lines.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, write) and willingness to travel to project sites.

Required skills

• Design of 500 kV and 765 kV transmission lines.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Proficiency with PLS‑CADD and PLS‑TOWER software.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
