About the role
The Early Refugee School Impact Specialist supports the International Rescue Committee’s early childhood programming for refugee families. Working directly with caregivers of children aged 0‑5, the specialist coordinates access to childcare, preschool services, and related resources to promote positive educational outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct program intakes, explain childcare options, and connect families to resources.
- Develop and expand partnerships with childcare centers, preschools, and community organizations.
- Maintain data, reports, and service plans to ensure program quality and outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and events that strengthen parenting skills and awareness of early education benefits.
- Assist caregivers with applications for childcare and financial assistance.
- Serve as a liaison among providers, parents, caseworkers, and other IRC staff.
Required profile
- Passion for humanitarian work and supporting refugee families.
- Strong communication and outreach abilities.
- Experience working with early childhood or education programs.
- Ability to manage data, reports, and documentation accurately.
