Drywall Mechanic/Carpenter

About the role

CASEY Construction Group is seeking a Drywall Mechanic/Carpenter to join its team in Richmond. The role involves installing drywall, framing, and related systems for both new construction and renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Apply drywall to walls and ceilings and fasten panels to wood or metal frameworks.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure panels; prepare openings for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Install insulation within walls and collaborate with ceiling‑tile installers to build walls.
• Perform repairs, blocking, and finish work such as sanding, taping, and preparing surfaces for painting.

Required profile

• Motivated and reliable individuals; prior trade experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Possess reliable transportation and a complete set of tools (tool purchase assistance available).

Required skills

• Drywall installation and finishing.
• Metal and wood framing, cutting, and fastening.
• Measuring, marking, and layout for panel installation.
• Basic insulation installation.

What we offer

• Hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $35.00 based on skills and experience.
