Drywall Estimator

About the role

CASEY Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Drywall Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for commercial construction projects in the Richmond area. The role involves interpreting drawings and specifications to develop accurate bid proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications, drawings, and contract documents to prepare written proposals.
• Prepare and assemble bids for various contract types and manage project document distribution.
• Complete quantity take‑offs, analysis, and input for detailed estimates.
• Coordinate scope requisitions with the project team to eliminate gaps and overlaps.
• Maintain knowledge of local, city, and state building codes.
• Manage post‑bid action items and make award recommendations.
• Attend pre‑construction job walks.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in drywall.
• Preferred degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Edge Estimating software.
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to interpret contract documents.
