Dry End Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

The Dry End Operator works on the foam production line at 3M’s Newark, Delaware plant. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will prepare the wet end of the foam line, operate equipment, and ensure production runs meet formulation specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the wet end of the foam line according to formulation specs and production orders.
• Install chemical modules, assemble mix heads, calibrate chemical streams and assist in mounting substrates.
• Maintain run parameters during foam casting, adjusting settings as directed by process chemists or line leaders.
• Record substrate lot numbers and run times for traceability.
• Handle chemical waste in compliance with federal and local environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of production experience (experience with chemicals preferred).
• Willingness to work off‑shifts and overtime.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Age 18 or older.

Required skills

• Chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Operation of foam line equipment and calibration of chemical streams.
• Moderate PC/computer skills.
• Forklift and hoist operation.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
