Donor Services Assistant

About the role

The Donor Services Assistant is a primary point of contact for MSF USA donors, handling inquiries, supporting donations, and helping communicate the organization’s impact. This role contributes to donor cultivation, fundraising, and brand positioning within a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Answer donor inquiries via phone, email and mail, providing timely support and solutions.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective donors.
• Assist in prospecting and cultivating new donor segments in line with MSF‑USA strategy.
• Support fundraising activities and help secure sustainable resources for the organization.
• Contribute to brand positioning and communication of MSF programs to donors.
• Operate basic elements of the donor data management system under senior guidance.

Required profile

• Experience in donor relations, fundraising or customer service within a nonprofit or humanitarian context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage data accurately and follow established processes.
• Motivation to support MSF’s mission and work in a fast‑paced environment.
