DoD Financial Analyst – Full-time, San Diego

About the role

The DoD Financial Analyst provides on‑site financial management support to Naval Special Warfare Group One under the MSOFS 2.0 contract. This full‑time role involves budget planning, execution monitoring, financial reporting, and fiscal compliance to ensure proper stewardship of government resources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual and multi‑year spending plans and support budget submissions.
• Monitor budget execution, identify funding surpluses or shortfalls, and assess execution risks.
• Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc budget reports and exhibits using DoD templates.
• Compile data from DoD financial systems, verify compliance with fiscal law, and support post‑award meetings.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and active Secret security clearance.
• At least four years of experience in DoD budget planning, formulation, or related financial management.
• Experience working with military organizations and familiarity with current military concepts and procedures.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication abilities.
