District Coordinator

About the role

The District Coordinator will serve as the primary focal point for Pemcoa Foundation in a selected district of Ghana’s Upper West Region. The role ensures that field activities are properly planned, coordinated, implemented, documented and reported, supporting community‑driven programmes in sustainable agriculture, food security, climate action and social inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage district workplans, weekly schedules, field routing plans and implementation calendars.
• Coordinate logistics, venue arrangements, participant mobilisation and community entry processes for all activities.
• Engage with District Assemblies, traditional authorities, farmer groups, women’s and youth groups, persons with disabilities and other local stakeholders.
• Facilitate respectful and inclusive community entry, ensuring documentation of all engagements.
• Track implementation progress, collect evidence, and maintain accurate records for reporting.
• Travel regularly to project sites and communities within the assigned district.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field coordination, community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned district, local governance structures and community dynamics.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently in remote settings and travel frequently.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to build trust with diverse community groups.
