Distribution Associate – Picking (Entry Level)

About the role

The Distribution Associate works on the warehouse floor in West Henrietta, NY, handling picking and packing operations for customer, distributor and contract orders. The role is full‑time, onsite and requires adherence to safety, quality and standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders using carousel, automatic dispense machine, pick‑to‑light, voice picking, RF scanners and manual methods.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, man‑up lifts, hydraulic pallets and hand trucks.
• Utilize Baan ERP, Kewill and Red Prairie WMS for order processing, lookup and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain service levels by working scheduled holidays, mandatory Saturdays and extended hours as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and ability to perform basic math and problem‑solving.
• Reliability in reporting safety, sanitation and equipment issues promptly.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work scheduled shifts, arrive on time and follow company attendance policies.

Required skills

• Forklift and man‑up lift licenses.
• Experience with Kewill, BAAN ERP and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and FedEx/UPS shipping software.
• Operation of RF scanners, voice picking headsets, shrink sealers, heat tunnels and related packing tools.
