Director, Operations

About the role

The Director, Operations leads all warehousing and distribution functions at the Santa Fe Springs location, providing strategic and operational leadership to achieve logistics excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans by evaluating technological and financial opportunities and setting objectives.
• Direct continuous improvement in quality, customer service, safety, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget, analyze variances, and control costs to maximize asset use.
• Oversee receiving, sortation, loading, delivery, facility, fleet maintenance, sanitation, inventory control, and returns management.
• Manage facility and system maintenance, including inspections, repairs, capital improvements, and layout redesigns.
• Develop and maintain the company security program in collaboration with operations staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years in warehousing or distribution, with at least 5 years in management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, diplomacy, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills with MS Office and presentation software.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
• Familiarity with distribution routing software, preferably Roadnet.
• Experience with conveyor/sortation equipment.
