Director of Workplace & Field Technology Services

About the role

The Director of Workplace & Field Technology Services leads the strategy and operations for technology services that support R+L Carriers employees, field locations, mobile workforce platforms, and IMT warehouse inventory. This senior role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable technology delivery across a distributed enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for workplace technology, field services, mobile systems, and warehouse inventory operations.
• Oversee desktop support, endpoint lifecycle management, site readiness, and refresh planning for corporate and field locations.
• Direct mobile systems strategy, including telematics, fuel management, MDT platforms, cab cameras, and forklift hardware.
• Manage the end‑to‑end warehouse inventory cycle for IMT, covering receiving, staging, replenishment, fulfillment, returns, and disposal.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Application, Security, Service Desk, Purchasing, Facilities, Operations, and business stakeholders to align technology services with business priorities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in technology services for large, distributed organizations.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain multi‑year technology roadmaps.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
• Track record of improving service quality, scalability, standardization, and cost efficiency.
