Director of Training and Development

About the role

Enterprise Electrical is looking for a senior leader to design, implement and continuously improve company‑wide learning and workforce development programs. The Director of Training and Development will shape the training strategy for both field and office staff, ensuring alignment with operational goals, safety compliance and succession planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise‑wide training and workforce development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Design, implement and continuously improve learning programs for field and office employees.
• Oversee onboarding, orientation and employee integration initiatives.
• Create leadership and supervisory development programs to support succession planning.
• Partner with department leaders to assess capability gaps and training needs.
• Manage technical, operational, safety, compliance and professional development training.
• Establish structured learning pathways and career progression programs.
• Administer training budgets, vendor relationships and external providers.
• Define training metrics, performance indicators and reporting processes.
• Maintain training documentation, policies and standards for regulatory compliance.
• Lead implementation and administration of Learning Management Systems and training records.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, workforce development and adult learning methodologies.
• Proven ability to design and scale training and organizational development programs.
• Leadership, coaching and employee development capabilities.
• Understanding of compliance and workforce training requirements for operational and construction environments.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
