Director of Ticket Operations

About the role

The Director of Ticket Operations leads ticketing activities for Football, Gymnastics, and Baseball at the University of Maryland, with primary responsibility for Football ticket operations. This senior position provides leadership to professional and support staff, drives customer service initiatives, and collaborates with marketing, revenue generation, and campus partners to maximize attendance and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all Football ticket operations, including renewals, priority seating, parking, reporting, digital ticketing, and postseason logistics.
• Lead the Ticket Office customer service strategy and manage the student‑athlete complimentary ticket process through Teamworks.
• Maintain the Ticket Office website and eVenue information, and develop strategies to increase online ticket sales and improve mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with Marketing, RevGen, the Terrapin Club, and external units on ticket pricing and revenue initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum four years of experience in an athletics or higher‑education environment.
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administration, policies, and applicable laws.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to multitask in a high‑volume setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.
