Director of Product Design

About the role

The Director of Product Design will shape the design strategy and culture for LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ insurance portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide a growing team of designers and researchers to deliver high‑impact user experiences that align with business objectives. This role balances strategic partnership with hands‑on mentorship to ensure design excellence at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion a cohesive product design vision that supports the company’s risk‑assessment solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a multidisciplinary team of product designers and UX researchers.
• Establish design standards, processes, and accountability mechanisms to maintain quality and speed.
• Collaborate with product, technology, analytics, and market leadership to align design outcomes with business goals.
• Protect the integrity of the design process, applying the double‑diamond framework to solve complex user and business problems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and scaling product design or UX research teams in a technology‑driven environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving settings while maintaining design rigor.
• Excellent communication and advocacy for both buyer‑level and end‑user experiences.
• Track record of building collaborative, high‑performing design cultures.
