Director of Policy Services

About the role

The Director of Policy Services leads the management and customization of policy and administrative procedures manuals for school districts across Illinois, ensuring accurate delivery, development, and continuous improvement of policy services and trainings for IASB members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute policy and administrative procedures manual customization projects, including on-site visits to school districts.
• Proof and update PRESS Plus materials, ensuring timely delivery of subscriber responses and accurate policy updates.
• Develop and deliver training, webinars, presentations, and other resources on school board policy and governance.
• Provide courteous support via phone, email, and online channels to members, superintendents, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; experience in school board, education, or legal fields is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Illinois, work flexible hours, and manage multiple deadlines.
