Director of Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead and scale critical operational areas at Campus, focusing initially on Financial Aid and the student financial experience. Reporting to the COO, you will partner with cross‑functional teams to design technology‑enabled processes that improve efficiency and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Financial Aid leaders and stakeholders to keep student‑facing operations running smoothly.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO on operational risks, opportunities, and resource planning.
• Support critical processes such as aid applications, disbursements, billing, refunds, and payment plans, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Improve workflows and design scalable processes that increase efficiency and quality.
• Create and maintain SOPs that align Admissions, Registrar, Student Success, Financial Aid, Product, and other teams.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to roll out tech solutions that streamline operations.
• Establish performance metrics and dashboards to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Flex into new operational areas as Campus scales.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in complex organizations.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of coaching high‑performing teams.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical abilities with a bias toward measurable results.
• Experience implementing technology‑driven process improvements.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
