Director of Operations – Healthcare Programs

About the role

This high‑impact Director of Operations role oversees hospital‑based service programs across a defined U.S. region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will act as the primary operational liaison between healthcare partners, internal clinical teams, and cross‑functional support functions, ensuring program success, compliance, and strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational performance and management oversight of assigned hospital‑based programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with hospital executives, clinical leaders, and community physicians.
• Serve as primary contact for contract negotiations, renewals, financial discussions, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with clinical leadership, recruiting, credentialing, HR, and scheduling to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, executive business meetings, and operational check‑ins with partners.
• Support onboarding and implementation of new hospital programs.
• Identify operational risks, propose solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee financial performance, billing structures, fee arrangements, and program economics.
• Drive business development activities, including expansion opportunities and proposal development.
• Represent the organization in meetings with hospital leadership and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3‑5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, medical services, or hospital‑based program management.
• Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to build and sustain executive‑level relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
