About the role
The Director of IT leads the design, stability, security, and evolution of the firm’s technology infrastructure. This senior position provides strategic technical leadership across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments while ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the firm’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Lead network architecture, engineering, and security, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation.
- Oversee mobile device management and endpoint platforms for Windows, iOS, and related devices.
- Ensure high system availability through monitoring, backup, disaster‑recovery planning, and incident response.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies, access controls, and data‑protection standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technology procurement.
- Mentor junior IT staff and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, and enterprise infrastructure management, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure services, enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, and disaster‑recovery planning.
- Strong background in technology strategy, vendor management, and mentoring technical teams.
Required skills
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Azure Active Directory (identity governance, conditional access, MFA)
- Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure design
- Enterprise networking, firewalls, VPN, and network segmentation
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) and endpoint management for Windows and iOS
- Disaster recovery, backup management, and incident response
- Security policy development and data‑protection standards
