Director of Communications

About the role

This senior position leads the communication strategy for a globally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm. You will shape the firm’s voice, reputation, and market narrative while partnering directly with senior leadership to drive measurable business results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee creation of content across digital, print, and social media channels.
• Lead a communications team, manage multiple direct reports, and coordinate external agency relationships.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
• Manage public relations, media outreach, and external communication initiatives.
• Analyze communication effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
• Advise senior leadership on communication tactics and crisis management.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry partners, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of communications experience in a law firm, consulting, or professional services environment (law firm experience preferred).
• 5+ years managing a communications team.
• Proven track record developing branding and communication strategies for complex organizations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
