Director of Admissions – Higher Education

About the role

The Director of Admissions provides strategic leadership for all admissions and enrollment functions of the College, driving recruitment, enrollment growth, and student success across the State of Georgia’s higher‑education system.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage admissions activities for new and re‑entering students on all campuses.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan.
• Assist in marketing and public‑relations initiatives.
• Create and oversee the annual admissions budget.
• Process applications for degree, diploma and certificate programs.
• Lead daily operations in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment, including dual‑enrollment programs.
• Provide information to prospective students via phone, email and in‑person.
• Build and maintain relationships with staff, agencies, school systems, consultants, legislators and the public.
• Design and execute special events, projects and activities.
• Coordinate admission assessments and program placement.
• Foster a high‑performance team culture focused on outstanding customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Significant experience in admissions, enrollment management or related higher‑education functions.
• Proven leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within institutional, state and federal regulations.
