About the role
Under broad supervision, the Dietitian/Nutritionist will plan and conduct food service and nutritional programs at Central State Hospital, supporting health promotion and disease control for patients with behavioral health issues.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and document individualized nutrition care plans and track progress.
- Provide nutrition assessments, education, and counseling to individuals and groups.
- Serve as a resource on nutrition and dietetics for nurses, health educators, and other healthcare providers.
- Lead the nutrition team in delivering quality care.
Required profile
- Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field (or Bachelor's with two years experience).
- 2‑3 years clinical experience in behavioral health settings.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a dietitian/nutritionist (or ability to obtain one).
- Completion of required health evaluations and background checks.
