Diet Aide/Dishwasher – LTC

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking Diet Aides to support the food service department at Prairie Senior, a skilled nursing facility. The role involves preparing, serving, and cleaning meals for residents in a fast‑paced, 365‑day operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving resident meals and snacks, including setting up and cleaning dining rooms.
• Follow governmental regulations, departmental policies, and safety standards.
• Complete cleaning duties according to sanitation procedures and document completion.
• Record temperatures and meal counts as required.

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED preferred; must be at least 16 years old.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work courteously with residents, families, and team members.
• Self‑starter, positive attitude, and reliable attendance.

Required skills

• Basic food service or institutional kitchen experience (preferred but not required).
• Understanding of sanitation and safety procedures.
