Diesel Mechanic – West Sacramento

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our West Sacramento, CA Service Center. You will perform day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on our fleet, handling preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and conduct welding as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to handle major repairs, including AC and electrical systems.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and possession of personal tools.

Required skills

• Diesel engine maintenance (Cummins & Detroit preferred).
• Use of Cetaris work‑order system.
• Class A CDL (preferred).
