Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Registered Vascular Technologist

About the role

This full‑time position provides diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging services for high‑acuity patients in a hospital setting. The role involves independent judgment, patient interaction, and collaboration with radiologists and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and vascular examinations of designated anatomy according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Assist with specialized exams, such as advanced vascular studies and procedures using state‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment.
• Ensure quality control, quality improvement activities, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate imaging parameters and protocols with radiologists and help revise existing protocols for optimal diagnostic quality.
• Obtain and verify patient consents before imaging and prepare diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved CAHEA diagnostic medical sonography program and in good standing with ARDMS.
• Ability to reason logically, assess performance, and handle confidential medical information ethically.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
