About the role
The Development Program Manager supports the School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation in expanding fundraising and alumni engagement. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the role blends event planning, volunteer coordination, donor stewardship, and data management to strengthen the school’s development pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Lead alumni relations, including the MAPP+D Alumni Network and Board of Visitors activities.
- Plan and execute donor recognition events, Giving Day, and annual giving initiatives.
- Manage volunteer programs, event logistics, and scholarship reporting.
- Collaborate with university central Donor Relations, communications, student affairs, and the Dean’s office on outreach and stewardship.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the development office, including budget, data systems, and best‑practice processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum three years of experience in scholarship administration, gift processing, donor relations, or related development functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally or out of state as needed.
Required skills
- Experience with donor contact management systems such as Blackbaud.
- Experience with Salesforce for fundraising data.
