Development Operations Manager

About the role

FPWA is seeking a Development Operations Manager to oversee fundraising systems, donor data, and operational processes that drive fundraising success. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will ensure accurate data management, support donor stewardship, and contribute to the organization’s mission of advancing economic opportunity for low‑income New Yorkers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage FPWA’s Salesforce database and related fundraising technology platforms, ensuring accurate data entry, coding, segmentation, and reporting.
• Maintain the integrity and organization of donor, funder, and prospect information.
• Oversee all gift processing and acknowledgment workflows, guaranteeing timeliness and donor‑centered communication.
• Produce regular reports on giving levels, donor activity, and fundraising performance for leadership and board review.
• Support continuous improvement of data management systems, processes, and reporting tools.
• Handle departmental invoicing, expense reconciliation with Finance, and track key deliverables.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Chief Development Officer, including scheduling, expense submissions, and project tracking.
• Conduct donor and prospect research to inform fundraising strategies.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Salesforce.
• Experience with fundraising platforms such as Instrumentl and iWave.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with donor databases and email marketing platforms.
