Design Technologist – Digital Healthcare Experiences

About the role

Help create digital healthcare experiences that improve how people sleep, breathe, and live. As a Design Technologist on the Sleep & Respiratory Care Experience Design team, you’ll work at the intersection of experience design and software development, translating customer and patient needs into intuitive, high‑impact digital experiences and building coded solutions that bring those ideas to life.

Key responsibilities

• Envision and deliver solutions that align with business goals while providing safe, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.
• Conduct and lead analysis of user needs, create frameworks and interaction concepts across domains, and define product roles within a broader ecosystem.
• Bridge design and engineering by creating functional, coded prototypes that de‑risk go‑to‑market, communicate experience intent, and explore technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product‑development teams, partnering with product managers, owners, and developers to define and validate experiences for customers and patients.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience combining product‑design judgment with front‑end development capability.
• UX designer with proficiency in multiple front‑end programming languages and depth in at least one language/platform; back‑end knowledge is a plus.
• Hands‑on approach: build, test, modify, and evaluate front‑end code, and translate designs into functional prototypes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, HCI, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, technical execution, and use of AI‑assisted tools.

Required skills

• Design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Development environments: VS Code, Xcode, Android Studio.
• Version control: Git, GitHub.
• AI‑assisted development tools: Claude Code, Codex.
• Code quality tools: linters, SonarQube, Black Duck.
• Front‑end programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS); back‑end languages a plus.

What we offer

• Base salary range $115,000 – $183,000 per year.
• Annual incentive bonus, long‑term incentives, and potential commission.
