Design Engineering Supervisor – Lead Design Team

About the role

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Design Engineering Supervisor for its Mountaintop facility. You will lead a team of design engineers, ensure technical execution, and guarantee that projects meet quality, budget, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site and remote design engineers.
• Provide support to external customers together with Sales and Technical Support.
• Complete special requests outside standard engineering scope.
• Maintain engineering standards and drawings via Engineering Change Orders.
• Develop line extensions, work on Design for Manufacturing, and launch new products.
• Use Autodesk Inventor to create 3D models of parts and assemblies.
• Perform code compliance analysis (ASCE, AISC, IBC, ACI) and identify cost reductions.

Required profile

• Associate degree with 15+ years experience or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• High mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and shop tools.
• EIT or PE preferred; knowledge of motors and electrical control equipment preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D parametric modeling software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with parametric CAD, sheet metal, structural steel, welding, casting, and roll forming.
• Familiarity with engineering codes: ASCE, AISC, IBC, ACI.
