Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinator (DOSIC)

About the role

Amentum is seeking multiple Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinators (DOSICs) to support the NIWC's SWFTS Submarine Modernization Program in Silverdale/Bremerton, Washington. The positions are contingent on finding a candidate whose expertise matches the program's needs, at which point a funded role will be formally opened. Military and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deck-plate audits and surveillances, documenting and reporting findings
• Develop Liaison Action Records (LARs) and Departure From Specification (DFS) packages
• Prepare SHIPALT / ECI Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), tags and related work control documentation
• Maintain project schedules, track planned versus actual progress and flag discrepancies
• Identify weak performance areas or risks within Alteration Installation Teams (AITs)
• Interpret technical drawing issues and coordinate with AITs on deck-plate sequencing and workforce alignment
• Provide written inputs and updates to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
• Participate in Planning and Hotwash events, attend Local Maintenance Activities (LMA) meetings, and prepare trip reports, weekly status reports and technical documentation

Required profile

• Active Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required to obtain and maintain it)
• Strong work controls background and NAVAL Shipyard experience supporting onboard modernization events
• 10 years of practical experience with a high school diploma/GED, or 6 years with an Associate's degree in engineering technology, math or science, or formal electronics training (technical school, Class A or B military school, or four-year electronics apprentice program)
• Ability to support limited travel (about 10%)

Preferred qualifications

• Submarine combat systems modernization, WAF and tagout generation, and modernization work controls experience
