Depot Material Handler

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a part‑time Depot Material Handler to support material management and logistics at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego. The role ensures aircraft components and hardware are received, stored, tracked and delivered efficiently to maintain mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store and manage Moog hardware and components, ensuring proper warehousing and security.
• Prepare and issue material kits, verify documentation and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Deliver parts to depot personnel, coordinate material movement and act as liaison between Moog and depot staff.
• Track units throughout the repair process using Moog business systems and support the 24‑hour parts turnaround commitment.
• Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, return excess materials and ensure Certificates of Conformance and Serviceable Tags are completed.
• Coordinate shipments and pickups with approved carriers and collect depot artisan labor costs.
• Communicate status updates on receipt, repair and shipment of units while maintaining compliance with Moog quality standards.

Required profile

• Ability to understand, follow and apply work instructions, procedures and training.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Two or more years of experience in material handling, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• Experience working in a military depot environment such as Fleet Readiness Center Southwest is preferred.
