DC Asset Protection Manager

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a DC Asset Protection Manager in Sacramento (FDC/BDC) to oversee asset protection and safety functions at its distribution center. The role supports business objectives such as minimizing shrink, risk and safety incidents, and covers onboarding to AP programs, OSHA standards, investigations, training, coaching and responses to potentially volatile situations. It involves directing the leadership team on improving profitability through reduced shrink, safety, expenses and liability.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (30%): plan and run asset protection activities such as shrink and safety awareness programs, merchandise accuracy audits, training and development, and implement strategic plans with building leadership
• Delivery and execution (30%): take part in decisions on shrink, safety, accuracy and compliance, initiate investigations into safety, regulatory and theft issues, track performance metrics and report problems to the GM and Sr. Asset Protection Manager
• People management (20%): lead a team of Asset Protection Supervisors and Auditors, make recommendations on recruitment, performance appraisals and development, and identify training needs
• Compliance (20%): lead regulatory investigations (OSHA, EPA, state and federal agencies), maintain supply chain security measures including seal compliance and testing, and ensure electronic security systems work properly
• Travel: typically 20% to 50% of the time, mostly overnight

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 3+ years of asset protection, supply chain or distribution operational experience, 2 or 4-year college degree, Wicklander & Zulawski certification, CCTV and digital recording experience, logistics or field investigation experience, LPC or LPQ completion, and leadership experience

Required skills

• Experience with CCTV and digital recording devices (preferred)
• Logistics and/or field investigations experience (preferred)

Pay range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY) and Washington residents: $85,000 - $105,000.
