Data Scientist, Product Analytics

About the role

Meta is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Product Analytics team. You will work with massive data sets from Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Oculus to shape product experiences for billions of users and millions of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex data sets using statistical and experimental methods to inform product decisions.
• Develop quantitative models, run experiments, and mine data to generate insights that drive product strategy.
• Define success metrics, set goals, forecast outcomes, and monitor key product indicators.
• Identify and test opportunities to improve products, and translate findings into road‑map recommendations.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, data engineers and other cross‑functional teams to influence investment decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in analytics, including a minimum of 4 years with a Ph.D. (or equivalent advanced experience).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop hypotheses, design experiments and communicate data‑driven stories.
