Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join NinjaHoldings in Chicago, helping to build predictive models and analytics that drive our lending and fintech products.

Key responsibilities

• Build predictive models to optimize lending decisions using advanced statistical modeling and simulation techniques.
• Analyze consumer risk behavior trends and their impact on the portfolio to uncover business opportunities.
• Support model implementation by collaborating with software engineers and performing post‑release checks.
• Develop technical tools and platforms to standardize and streamline model development and monitoring.
• Create automated reporting dashboards and key performance metrics using SQL and Python.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests for models and underwriting strategies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to generate data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Communicate concise, actionable business strategies to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics and statistical modeling.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong quantitative and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
