Data Scientist / Analyst – Asset Backed Opportunities

About the role

The Data Scientist / Analyst will be embedded within Cerberus' Asset Backed Opportunities investment team. You will partner closely with investors and operators to apply data‑driven insights throughout the investment lifecycle, from underwriting and pricing to portfolio monitoring and optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analytical workstreams related to rental pricing, lease renewal, and economic trends to identify key metrics influencing rental pricing.
• Design, develop, and implement predictive models using Python to forecast market trends, pricing strategies, and lease renewal behavior.
• Build regression models with SQL and Python to predict optimal rental pricing.
• Conduct correlation analysis to understand relationships between rent performance and macro‑economic variables.
• Develop analytics tools and scalable frameworks that directly inform investment decisions and portfolio performance.

Required profile

• Experience working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, preferably within finance or investment teams.
• Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for investment decision‑making.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.
