Data Science Manager

About the role

As a Data Science Manager for Application Fraud at SentiLink, you will lead a growing team of data scientists building models that detect fraud and advance financial risk products. You will act as a technical leader, mentor, and owner of your domain, delivering end‑to‑end data‑science solutions in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage and expand a team of 2‑3 data scientists to 5‑6, providing technical mentorship and guidance.
• Lead planning, resourcing, and communication with senior leadership, product, and engineering teams.
• Develop, productionalize, and monitor fraud‑detection models across the full lifecycle—from data acquisition to feature engineering, training, and real‑time deployment.
• Research new fraud types, integrate novel data sources, and create new identity‑verification products.
• Write production‑ready code that powers real‑time decision making for partners.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree (or 7+ years with a PhD).
• 2‑5 years of experience managing data‑science teams, preferably in a startup environment.
• Proven track record of solving high‑impact business problems with machine‑learning solutions.
• Strong end‑to‑end data‑science expertise, from defining success metrics to delivering production code and strategy documents.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present results to senior stakeholders.
