About the role
The Data Entry Assistant supports Orvix Engineering’s operations by ensuring data is entered accurately and kept up‑to‑date. This full‑time remote position is based in Chicago and works closely with engineering, finance, and project teams.
Key responsibilities
- Enter and update data in internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets with high accuracy.
- Cross‑check entries, identify discrepancies, and apply necessary corrections.
- Organise and maintain electronic and paper records for easy retrieval and compliance.
- Assist in generating routine and ad‑hoc reports by consolidating data from multiple sources.
Required profile
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in data entry or administrative support, preferably in a technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Microsoft Access or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with data‑entry software and CRM or project‑management tools.
