About the role

The Data Engineer, Solutions & Data role at DLA Piper designs, builds, and operates data pipelines that turn raw data into trusted, analytics‑ready datasets. The position supports business initiatives by ensuring data quality, governance, and secure access across a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operationalize data pipelines across heterogeneous environments, adhering to governance principles and service level agreements.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources into a centralized SQL Server instance, managing field mappings and transformations for consistent downstream consumption.
• Design and implement Azure‑based data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, and SSIS.
• Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions with Azure Synapse Analytics to support analytics and reporting workloads.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality, integrity, latency, and security issues, applying monitoring and operational best practices.
• Contribute to data quality and governance practices, including profiling datasets and defining quality rules.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile pod model to deliver reusable data assets.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure data services and data pipeline tooling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and governance concepts.
