Cybersecurity Ops Technologist – Splunk SIEM Engineer

About the role

As a Cybersecurity Ops Technologist – Splunk SIEM Engineer, you will ensure the health and effectiveness of our SIEM platform, data ingestion pipelines, and detection coverage. You will work closely with SOC analysts and threat detection engineers to translate operational needs into high‑fidelity, scalable detection solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage SIEM platform health, data pipelines, and detection gaps.
• Investigate anomalies, resolve engineering issues, and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with SOC and threat detection teams to design and implement scalable detection rules.
• Build tools and processes following CI/CD best practices to increase efficiency.
• Lead health‑monitoring and optimization of security‑operations systems.
• Own product and system availability, ensuring ongoing effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in security operations.
• Hands‑on experience with log aggregation platforms and cloud automation.
• Proven ability to think critically, reverse‑engineer complex challenges, and develop effective solutions.
