About the role

The UHealth Laboratories Department at the University of Miami is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle a variety of patient and client inquiries. You will be the first point of contact, providing timely information and support across multiple communication channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to general inquiries, service requests and complaints via face‑to‑face, email, fax, telephone or regular mail.
  • Research issues, refer them to the appropriate department, and resolve routine problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions, verify that resolutions are completed, and update the relevant database.
  • Escalate unresolved grievances to department leadership and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant customer service experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
