Customer Service Representative

About the role

Greif is seeking a Customer Service Representative to act as the primary liaison between the company and its customers. You will handle inquiries, process orders, and ensure smooth delivery of packaging solutions while upholding Greif’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, listening to needs and providing effective solutions.
• Enter customer orders accurately into the ERP system and communicate order status, pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
• Manage transportation and logistics using the Freight Management System, coordinating dispatch and outside freight.
• Handle customer complaints, initiate return procedures, and prepare credit requests.
• Respond to requests for samples, specifications, and other support services.
• Assist with billing corrections, new account setup, and training of new employees.
• Maintain detailed records and participate in continuous‑process improvement teams.
• Review inventory levels with sales teams and help maintain item specifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle second‑level escalations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP software for order entry and tracking.
• Experience using a Freight Management System for logistics coordination.
