Customer Care Housekeeper

About the role

The Customer Care Housekeeper provides essential cleaning and sanitation services across academic, research and patient‑care areas of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus. Working under established schedules and safety standards, the role helps maintain a safe, sanitary and welcoming environment for staff, students, patients and visitors. This position is onsite and requires adherence to infection‑control protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets, collect trash, replace liners and dispose of waste according to campus procedures.
• Clean patient rooms, clinical areas, offices and common spaces, ensuring surfaces are sanitized.
• Wipe down equipment, furniture and fixtures using approved cleaning agents.
• Restock cleaning supplies and hygiene products in designated areas.
• Follow infection‑control, safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the facilities team promptly.

Required profile

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience in a large facility.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work independently under supervision while following schedules and procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and sanitation.
