Customer Accounts Advisor

About the role

As a Customer Accounts Advisor at Aaron’s, you will act as a trusted coach for our customers, guiding them through lease renewals, payment collections, and product satisfaction. You will build strong relationships both over the phone and face‑to‑face, helping customers move one step closer to ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update customer account information in the store’s computer system.
• Contact customers with upcoming lease expirations via home visits and phone calls to secure timely renewals.
• Promote the benefits of on‑time lease payments and assist the Customer Account Manager in meeting revenue and renewal targets.
• Process merchandise returns, assist with guest deliveries, and certify returned items in the Quality Assurance Center.
• Complete weekly vehicle maintenance and route sheets, load and secure products, and safely operate a company vehicle.
• Support the sales team as needed and perform any reasonable duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• U.S. residents must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record; Canadian residents must be at least 18.
• Ability to work flexible hours between 8 am and 9 pm.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 300 lb with a dolly.
• Two years of retail or customer‑service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and telephone etiquette.

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills for data entry and account management.
