Customer Account Associate – Trade Auditing & Support

About the role

The Customer Account Associate supports Nestlé USA’s Account Management team by handling trade auditing, deduction analysis, and distributor coordination. Working closely with Account Directors and Managers, the role ensures accurate financial reconciliation and smooth customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade auditing, manage deductions, fines, claims, and post‑audit work (approximately 40% of time).
• Support trade deduction analysis, reconciliation, workflow administration, and documentation in partnership with Sales Finance.
• Handle customer post‑audit claims, resolve undisputed claims, track disputed claims, and ensure timely responses.
• Research and resolve deduction discrepancies, lead follow‑up on complex claims, and participate in customer/vendor meetings.
• Collect unauthorized deductions and credits while supporting profitable business performance.
• Assist with customer metric forecasting, off‑invoice trade events, and alignment between customer and internal systems.
• Coordinate with Nestlé Retail Services on logistics, distribution activities, and prepare NRS materials (about 10% of time).
• Maintain customer forms, item data, product attributes, UPCs, pricing information, and support item setup in Osprey and customer systems (about 50% of time).
• Organize large‑scale planning meetings such as JBP, ICP, industry events, and internal business planning sessions.
• Manage automated customer reporting, retailer reset calendars, and category update submissions.

Required profile

• Experience supporting account management, sales finance, or trade auditing functions.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail for financial reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
