Custodian – Facility Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Custodian to join the Operations & Maintenance team at Gwinnett Technical College in Alpharetta. The role involves keeping the campus clean, safe and well‑stocked, supporting a learning environment for over 10 million Georgia residents.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, surfaces, restrooms and assigned areas on a daily basis.
• Restock restrooms and other facilities with appropriate supplies.
• Follow hazardous materials, bloodborne and airborne pathogen safety protocols and complete required annual trainings.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the college’s facilities and mission.

Required profile

• Any combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Minimum six months of custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts (Mon‑Thu 12 pm‑9 pm, Fri 7 am‑4 pm) and adhere to attendance policies.
• Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness and a “can‑do” attitude.
