Culinary Internship – Beef Focused Externship

About the role

This 15‑week paid externship at the Certified Angus Beef Culinary Center in Wooster, Ohio offers hands‑on experience in beef‑centric cooking, butchery, and food media. Interns work alongside award‑winning chefs and meat scientists while preparing dishes for high‑end events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and executing beef‑focused meals in a scratch kitchen, including grilling, smoking, braising, roasting and sous‑vide techniques.
• Fabricate portioned beef cuts in the Meat Lab and learn proper seasoning, marinating and plating.
• Create and test recipes, photograph dishes, and produce social‑media content highlighting beef innovation.
• Visit a family Angus farm to understand beef production from farm to table.

Required profile

• Student enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America or Johnson & Wales University.
• Passionate about food, cooking and beef culinary arts.
• Willing to work 8‑10 hours per day, including occasional nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Grilling, smoking, braising, roasting, sous‑vide cooking techniques.
• Food photography and video content creation.
• Social‑media storytelling and content creation.
