CRE Portfolio Manager II or III

About the role

The Commercial Portfolio Manager monitors the bank's commercial loan portfolio, ensuring accurate risk ratings, compliance with credit policies, and regulatory requirements. This individual contributor works closely with relationship managers and other internal teams, with construction loan experience preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor credit performance of commercial borrowers, escalating issues and ensuring timely remediation.
• Prepare and deliver accurate portfolio monitoring reports, including financial statement analysis, covenant testing, collateral valuation, and delinquency tracking.
• Engage with borrowers to discuss operating performance, covenant compliance, and business trends.
• Collect, review, and analyze credit and financial information to assess risk and assign appropriate ratings.
• Develop financial models, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate probability of default and loss given default.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, or credit underwriting, especially with moderate to complex loans.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
