Corporate Controller

About the role

As the Corporate Controller at Giga, you will own the financial integrity of a fast‑growing AI infrastructure company. This role is pivotal for capital decisions, regulatory strategy, and scaling operations, providing a unique opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a category‑defining business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all technical accounting functions, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), asset capitalization, and complex debt/equity instruments.
• Serve as the primary authority on US GAAP compliance, develop accounting policies, and ensure consistency across multiple entities.
• Manage and develop the accounting team, setting expectations, evaluating performance, and fostering a high‑output culture.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
• Direct external auditor relationships and lead the end‑to‑end annual audit.
• Partner with legal, operations, and executive leadership on complex transactions such as project financing, M&A, and capital raises.
• Establish and maintain a robust internal controls framework (SOX‑ready) as the company scales toward a liquidity event.
• Drive implementation and optimization of financial systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical accounting for high‑growth, multi‑entity organizations.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing accounting teams.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and SOX compliance.
• Ability to navigate complex financing structures and support capital‑raising activities.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail.
