Controller Consultant – Finance & Accounting Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controller Consultant to take ownership of all finance and accounting activities for our site. This long‑term engagement is ideal for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional who can manage day‑to‑day financial operations while building a solid accounting foundation for a rapidly expanding business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full accounting function for the location, acting as the primary finance leader.
• Manage the month‑end close process, ensuring timely reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to support reliable financial statements.
• Monitor purchasing transactions to guarantee correct recording and flow through financial systems.
• Organize, validate, and enter historical financial data when needed.
• Design and implement accounting processes, controls, and reporting routines from the ground up.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and align business activity with accounting results.
• Maintain disciplined reporting and strong oversight of accounting data to support growth plans.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience with ownership of core financial operations.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong background in month‑end close and journal‑entry preparation.
• Experience creating or formalizing accounting processes, controls, and reporting structures.
• Solid understanding of purchasing and transaction flow within accounting systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
